Language Ability Insights

Vericant interviews include a Spoken English Evaluation; a score that reflects a candidate’s true ability to communicate accurately and appropriately in a conversational setting without rehearsed answers.

Verified Identities

Remove any doubt regarding the authenticity of the candidate’s application data. Vericant conducts interviews in-person and will physically check and record official ID for the candidate before commencing the interview

Supplementary Written Sample

In addition to a 12 minute conversational interview, candidates also submit a handwritten essay, produced under exam conditions in 30 minutes. This is in response to a choice of 3 writing stimuli.

Admissions Test Invigilation

Schools with internal admissions tests can request that applicants complete these after their interview, alongside the short essay task. These are overseen by our independent invigilators.

In-Person Conversation

Verified Identity

Before commencing an interview, our independent invigilators verify the identity of the candidate using their national ID card or their passport. A digital record is also kept securely for future reference should this be necessary. The rigour of Vericant’s processes ensured we are a third party provider that ensures you meet the UKVI compliance requirements as a visa sponsor.

High-Quality Footage

Our interviews are filmed using professional recording equipment that ensures the recordings that you review are of the highest quality. This ensures you are able to watch for subtle non-verbal cues and other body language that helps you get a true sense of the candidate’s personality and their passion for learning.

Supporting Written Sample

As well as a 12-minute interview, candidates also complete a 30-minute writing task based on a choice of stimuli, This additional resources provides an accurate reflection of the candidate’s ability to communicate their ideas without support from external resources. Taken in context with the rest of the applicant’s admissions data, the information provided by a Vericant interview ensures you have a comprehensive understanding of your students’ skills and abilities.
